Luke's Big City Weekend

I had Luke this weekend at his "City House" which he seems to love.  I love it, Daisy loves it, and Luke loves it.  It is a block away from the Central St. Louis Library, across the street from "Lucas Park Grille", and across the street from our new "coffee shop".  He and I can walk anywhere in the city and find cool things to do.  The city museum is a block and a half away from the house which he loved 3 weeks ago when we went.  This weekend we went to the library where we read books for a couple of hours and they even let us "check out toys" for him to play with back at the "City House".  After reading, we walked back, got some lunch, and headed back to the library as they had a singer there.  He got up and danced and played with the other kids.  Although in the video, he's just sitting there, it took a bit for him to get up and starting dancing around.  After the music, 1 block south of the library was the St. Louis Hispanic festival where we had an absolute blast!  Luke got to go on some inflatible trampolines, a slide, ride a pony, hit a pinata (and eat an atomic fireball), and then dance to the traditional music and dancers that they had.  He also got to ride a train through the festival.  This was just Saturday.  On Sunday, we woke up, went upstairs and went swimming in the pool and then we shared an apple on the roof deck.  We went downstairs and ate at the "Side Bar" restaurant next door to the house.  He had 3/4 of a foot long hotdog (that was 3/4" in diameter).  Milk to drink, along with water and lemon slices and then we headed back upstairs for some well needed "rest time".  Well we wound up blowing bubbles and watching "Happy feet".  He's really been into "Happy feet" and at the library he saw a magazine about penguins and he sat on my lap and had me read to him about the different penguins.  I can't convey in words how much of a joy it is to have him around as he's truly a very special kid and a total love.  At the pool on Sunday, he started talking to everyone around him as he's extremely social.  Of course, he usually talks to girls in bikinis but hey, he's my son!

Anyway enjoy the pictures I'll be posting.

Cheers,

-Andy
