Petition to Declare NLEC a detriment to our neighborhood
Here's the link to sign the petition

Hopefully, with NLEC gone we can get our park back from the people that like to publicly urinate, sell drugs, leave trash, congest our sidewalks, feed people illegally, aggressively panhandle, and create a general nuisance....
Here are some pictures I took to illustrate the problems created by people with no respect for their neighbors or public spaces.

What I would like to this gentlemens crusade to be the man to attempt to close a area and building that GOD is using to help those who cant afford to move into a upper loft in downtown St.Louis is this....Have you met Larry Rice? Have you met his partners in their crusade? Have you toured the ancient building down on Locust Street?
I would sign this if you would produce pictures of the inside of the building and prove that this building is a health hazard. Other than that, be a good Chrisitian and keep to yourself and dont try to seek out trouble

I don't have to produce pictures as they already exist on Channel 24.
By Larry's OWN admission on TV he doesn't have enough money for toilet paper, yet look at his 2004 federal court documents.
Look at all the service calls from the SLMPD.
Look at the tax returns... oh wait they DON'T PAY TAXES!
Go down to Springfield to see what type of org he runs.
The information is out there, all you have to do is OPEN your eyes and look.
Why are so many people willing to take things on face value?
Those that speak the truth should never be afraid to speak out and "cause trouble"

For what it's worth, there are two other homeless ministries within mere blocks of Larry Rice's place, and they both have a proven track record for HELPING the homeless.
I work downtown in a public service position and have a lot of interaction with the homeless, most of them only go to Larry Rice as a last resort on account of the fact that they're afraid of getting mugged by others inside.
The sad thing is that people are claiming that NLEC is a good thing being used by God - but the reality is it's being used to suck money away from productive ministries like St. Patrick's Center or Centenary Church.
If NLEC was shut down, it would cull out a LOT of the people who are downtown to "work the system" and not actually get help.
